Say hello to the 2022 Toyota Land Cruiser 300 SUV, a replacement for the 200 Series that debuted 14 years ago.
300 Series comes with several interior and safety upgrades to enhance the performance of the SUV.
The 2022 300-series will launch in global markets, including Nigeria this summer.
But the U.S won’t be getting the new SUV, after Toyota discontinued its sales due to poor sales.
Toyota has finally revealed the all-new, next-generation 2022 Toyota Land Cruiser after several teaser videos and photos from the Japanese auto-giant and nearly three weeks of leaked shots.
The new high-riding 300 Series model replaces the outgoing 200 Series that debuted way back in 2007. 300 Series adopts the new GA-F platform based on TNGA that keeps its body-on-frame design.
Inside, the Toyota Land Cruiser 300 Series retains its three-row layout with seating for up to seven people. Upgrades includes a tablet-style infotainment screen and an Easy-to-reach switches that allow drivers to change the off-road modes easily without diving into any menus.
Offroading improvements include new Electronic Kinetic Dynamic Suspension System, Multi-Terrain Monitor, and Multi Terrain Select.
The 300-series also improved on its safety features with the availability of Toyota Safety Sense active safety package. A new pre-collision system and a Parking Support Brake are part of the new features on the latest SUV.
Powering the 300 Series are two new powertrains : A 3.5-liter twin-turbocharged V6 petrol engine produces around 409 horsepower and 479 lb-ft of torque. The second is a 3.3-liter diesel, which churns out 304 hp with 516 lb-ft of torque. Both are mated to a new 10-speed automatic transmission.
