Mercedes-Benz today February 13, 2018 revealed the 2019 Mercedes AMG G63 SUV .The new Mercedes AMG G63 comes with a hand crafted AMG 4.0 litre V8 biturbo engine that produces an impressive 577 horsepower and comes with 627 lb-ft of torque.

This gives the new AMG G63 some impressive performance figures for an SUV, it comes with a 0 to 60 miles per hour time of just 4.4 seconds, this is apparently almost 1 second faster than the previous model.

Paired with it is a 9-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox that transfers the power and torque through to the AMG Performance 4Matic all-wheel drive system which has torque bias more to the rear for better traction.

Mercedes-AMG also fits the ride control adaptive suspension setup, which comes with three damping modes – Comfort, Sport and Sport+ – and is automatically controlled to adapt to the conditions.

Paired with the speed-sensitive sport steering, Mercedes also applies the AMG Dynamic Select driving mode system, which includes five on-road and three off-road modes.

The G63’s interior is a huge upgrade over the previous model, with higher quality materials and far better technology. A pair of 12.3-inch displays serve as the instrument cluster and infotainment display, both of which are controlled by the thumb slider pads on the AMG-specific steering wheel.

The exterior design alterations include ‘V8 Biturbo’ designation, red brake calipers and 22-inch alloy wheels with an optional ‘Night Package’ adding further black detailing if chosen.

The new Mercedes AMG G63 also features a limited top speed of 137 miles per hour in the standard AMG G63, if you go for the optional AMG drivers package then this is increase to 149 miles per hour. It also comes with improved leg room over the previous model.

Like the regular G-Class, the brand new G63 is longer (101mm), wider (121 mm) and taller (40mm) than its predecessor, with a design very best described as evolutionary.
