When U.S Presidential Limousine Got Stuck On A Ramp
When U.S Presidential armoured limousine, better known as The Beast, got stuck on the driveway in Dublin in 2011.
Underbelly of ‘The Beast’ hit the slope of the driveway as it tried to leave the US embassy in Dublin during Obama’s visit.
Secret Service denied the US car was ferrying the first couple, Barack and Mitchell Obama, at the time of the incident.
It said that “it was a Spare Limo” carrying staff and support personnel” that got stuck on the ramp.

The underbelly of US Presidential armoured limousine, better known as the Beast, hit the ramp on the driveway with a loud bang as it tried to leave the US embassy in Dublin during Barack Obama’s visit to Ireland in 2011.
With the limousine stuck and unable to move either forward or backward, the Secret Service agents acted swiftly by directing a grey bus to block the view of the media and the crowd.
According to the US Secret Service spokesman, “it was a Spare Limo” (another Beast , normally used to confuse the would-be attackers) carrying staff and support personnel” that got stuck on the ramp.
To prevent future occurrence, the current presidential fleet used by US president Joe Biden fleet are a little higher than the previous 2009 Cadillac DTS bodied limousine that got stuck during the Obama years.
Joe Biden’s tank, first unveiled by his predecessor Donald Trump during the U.N General Assembly in New York City in 2019, is also designed to withstand chemical and biological attacks. It’s eight-inch thick steel doors is believed to weigh the same as those on a Boeing 757.
