The three-millionth electrified BMW vehicle rolls off the Group’s production line in Munich, Germany.

Finished in Portimao Blue paint, this electrified BMW 330e xDrive Touring is destined for the UK market.

The BMW Group is celebrating a milestone as its 3-millionth electrified vehicle rolled off the assembly line at the brand’s main plant in Munich – where vehicles with electrified drive trains and internal combustion engines are produced on the same production line.

The milestone vehicle is a BMW 330e xDrive Touring, a plug-in hybrid version of the BMW 3 Series Touring (estate) model, finished in Portimao Blue and destined for the UK market.

“With its highly flexible production, the BMW Group is able to respond to customer requirements in line with market trends and demand,” explains Milan Nedeljković, member of the Board of Management responsible for Production.

“All plants in our global production network are enabled for electromobility, paving the way for continued growth in this segment,” Milan Nedeljković adds.

Last year, one in four vehicles sold by the German company was already either fully electric or a plug-in hybrid. As of May 2025, a total of 1.5 million BEVs from the BMW, MINI and Rolls-Royce brands have already been delivered.

The three-millionth electrified BMW vehicle, a 330e Touring, rolls off the Group’s production line in Munich, Germany.

The 330e’s 289bhp plug-in hybrid powertrain combines a 2.0-liter turbocharged petrol engine with an electric motor, allowing it to accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in around 5.9 seconds in the xDrive version.

The BMW 330e can travel up to 63 miles on electric power alone. Its battery can be charged using a standard 7kW home charger in approximately 3 hours and 15 minutes.
