Railway Project : LASG Announces Traffic Diversion At Brewery/Ijora From 4th July-1st Aug

LASG announces traffic fiversion at brewery/Ijora level crossing for Nigerian railway construction works from 4th July to 1st August, 2021.
From the 4th to 18th July, CCECC would commence asphalt and drainage works on the first lane.
CCECC Nigeria will move to the second lane from 18th July to 1st of August, 2021.
Road users urged to cooperate with LASTMA to minimise inconveniences that may be experienced during the construction works.
In continuation of the Nigerian Railway Modernisation Project (Lagos-Ibadan section), which extends to Lagos Port at Apapa, the Lagos State Government has announced the diversion of traffic flow at Brewery and Ijora Level Crossing for construction works from Sunday, 4th July to 1st August, 2021.
A statement signed by the Commissioner for Transportation, Dr. Frederic Oladeinde, disclosed that the Construction Company, China Civil Engineering Construction Company (CCECC) Nigeria Limited, would commence asphalt and drainage works on the first lane from the 4th to 18th July and move to the second lane from 18th July to 1st of August, 2021.
He explained that a counter-flow will be created on the lane that is free when rehabilitation works are ongoing on the other.

This, he said, is to enable motorists ply the route and reach their various destinations without much difficulty.
Oladeinde, however, urged road users to cooperate with the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority, LASTMA, to minimise inconveniences that may be experienced during the construction works.
While appealing to residents, especially motorists, to obey the instructions made available to ease traffic flow during the period, the Commissioner said the project is aimed at achieving a seamless multi-modal transport system that will provide viable options for movement and subsequently meet the transportation needs of Lagosians.
