6 Min 46 Secs : 1548-hp Xiaomi SU7 Ultra Prototype Breaks Fastest 4-door Car Lap Record At The Nürburgring
6 Minutes 46 Seconds : 1548-hp Xiaomi SU7 Ultra prototype breaks fastest 4-door car lap record at the Nürburgring.
SU7 Ultra prototype is powered by tri-motor all-wheel-drive system that comprised of two V8s and one V6s.
Xiaomi’s SU7 Ultra can reach 60 mph (100 km/h) in just 1.97 seconds and a top speed that can exceed 350 km/h.
While this is an impressive feat, Porsche Taycan Turbo GT remains the fastest EV sedan with a lap time of 7:07.55 minutes.
Xiaomi aims to use a production SU7 Ultra to set an official record lap for the fastest four-door sedan sometime next year.
A Xiaomi SU7 Ultra Prototype has smashed the fastest four-door car lap record at the legendary Nürburgring track in Germany after lapping the famous 12.8-mile (20.8 kilometer) Green Hell in a record time of 6 minutes 46.874 seconds on October 28 2024.
SU7 Ultra prototype’s un-official record time bested the circuit’s official fastest EV sedan record of 7:07.55 minutes by nearly 20 seconds, which was set by the Porsche Taycan Turbo GT earlier this year.
While this hugely impressive feat doesn’t qualify for any production car records, Xiaomi aims to use a production SU7 Ultra to set an official record lap for the fastest four-door sedan sometime next year.

“Xiaomi EV’s challenge plan is divided into two phases : the first phase involves using a prototype car to challenge the non-production lap records at the Nürburgring in October 2024… the second phase aims to use a production model to officially target the production car lap records at the Nürburgring in 2025”, Xiaomi said in a statement.
First unveiled on July 19th at the Xiaomi Corporation’s annual event in Beijing, the SU7 Ultra prototype based on the production SU7 is equipped with tri-motor all-wheel-drive system that comprised of two V8s and one V6s.
This setup, which delivers a combined output of 1548-horsepower, allows the SU7 Ultra Prototype to achieve a 0-100 km/h acceleration time of just 1.97 seconds, with a top speed exceeding 350 km/h (217 mph).
Unlike the base SU7, the SU7 Ultra Prototype features enlarged front-splitter as well as a massive carbon fiber rear wing to generate up to 2,145 kg of downforce.
