1-of-3 Bugatti EB112 luxury sedan from the 1990s fetches $1.98 million at the RM Sotheby’s Monaco auction.

First unveiled as a prototype in March 1993, the EB 112 was a full-size saloon version of the EB 110 sports car.

But the EB 112 never made it to production after Bugatti Automobili S.p.A. went bankrupt two years after the unveiling.

EB 112’s 6.0-liter V-12 with 450 hp allows it to reach 62 mph from rest in 4.3 seconds, and a claimed top speed of 300 km/h (186 mph).

A rare Giorgetto Giugiaro-designed Bugatti EB112 ultra-luxury 4-door sedan found a new home at the RM Sotheby’s Monaco auction on Saturday 25 April 2026, fetching almost $2 million (€1,692,500 or $1,984,117).

Offered by only its second owner from new, the winning bid for Chassis No :
ZA9CC030ERCD39003 falls between the estimate of €1,500,000 – €2,000,000 EUR (approx. $1.8 million – $2.4 million).

In addition to the car, the new owner will get two pieces of luggage, a tool roll as well as EB112’s special umbrella with the elephant mascot handle.

Before the sale, the owner has invested over €37,000 on this EB112. These includes work done by specialist shop Garage des Moneghetti to repair of the car’s braking and suspension systems as well as fitment of new Michelin tyres.

The EB112 was completed for Monegasque businessman, Gildo Pallanca Pastor, after purchasing assets from Bugatti Automobili following its bankruptcy in 2005. Pastor retained it for his personal use until 2015.

EB 112 is powered by a Volkswagen-designed 6.0-liter V-12 with 450 hp. The rare Bugatti sedan can reach 62 mph from rest in a claimed 4.3 seconds, and a claimed top speed of 300 km/h (186 mph).
