Rolls-Royce’s New Electric SUV Prototype Spotted Undergoing Cold-weather Testing - autojosh

Rolls-Royce’s new electric SUV prototype has been spotted undergoing cold-weather testing.

Electric SUV will arrive as the brand’s second battery-electric vehicle, following the success of the Spectre Coupe.

Spectre Coupe, the brand’s first EV, was Rolls-Royce’s best-selling car in 2025 after the Cullinan SUV.

Electric Rolls-Royce SUV could rival the upcoming electric SUV models of Bentley and Range Rover.

An electric Rolls-Royce SUV that could rival the upcoming battery-powered SUV models from Bentley and Range Rover has been spied undergoing cold-weather testing at the frozen lakes of Arjeplog in Sweden.

From afar, this heavily camouflaged electric Rolls-Royce SUV looks to be based on the ICE-powered Cullinan, though not the replacement for the brand’s best-selling model last year (or the “most requested model in 2025” as Rolls-Royce described it).

The electric SUV will arrive as the brand’s second battery-electric vehicle (BEV), following the success of the Spectre Coupe, which was Rolls-Royce’s best-selling car in 2025 after the Cullinan SUV.

The upcoming electric Rolls-Royce SUV will likely be built on the same aluminum architecture that currently underpins the flagship Phantom 8, the Cullinan, new-generation Ghost and the Spectre EV.

Rolls-Royce may stick with the Spectre’s 102-kWh lithium-ion battery-pack, which allows the 2.9-tonne all-electric two-door, four-seat Coupé to go 530 kilometers (329 miles) when fully charged.

When it arrives, the electric SUV will join the brand’s current lineup that includes the Spectre, Cullinan, Ghost (and their Black Badge variants) and the flagship Phantom sedan.
