Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan hosted President Bola Tinubu in Ankara on Tuesday, where the two leaders signed agreements covering defence cooperation, infrastructure development, trade and investment.

In a video shared by Erdogan, President Bola Tinubu was seen arriving at the Turkish presidential palace in Ankara in a Mercedes-Maybach S650 Pullman Guard limousine during his state visit on Tuesday January 2026.

After alighting from the Mercedes-Maybach S650 Pullman Guard limousine, Tinubu was welcomed by Erdogan, before the Nigerian president proceeded with the ceremonial review of the guard of honor.

“After a stately welcome ceremony in Ankara [he] proceeded to scheduled bilateral meetings with President of Turkey and other senior government officials from both countries,” Sunday Dare, the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Public Communications said on X.
