Nigeria will save millions of dollars spent on re-training of pilots abroad as a multi-million dollar full-motion flight simulator has now been installed at the Nigerian College of Aviation Technology (NCAT) in Zaria, Kaduna State.
The new simulator, a Boeing 737-NG Full Flight Simulator (FFS) for pilot training, will be used to thoroughly train Nigerian pilots as well as West African pilots in Nigeria.

Its deployment for use comes nearly a year after the Federal Government took delivery of the modern Boeing 737-NG Full Flight Simulator (FFS).

The Full Flight Simulator (FFS) is expected to curb capital flight. Before now, millions of dollars are spent on training and retraining of pilots in East Africa, South Africa and Europe.
A simulator for training and retraining of pilots is one major hindrance that Nigeria aviation industry is facing. The program cost millions in foreign exchange as pilots had to travel out for recurrence exercises.
