Moment Lagos Police Halt Video Shoot As Driver Laps Lady, Two Others Sit On Car Edge

A trending video shared online has captured the moment popular Nigerian rapper Blaqbonez and his video production crew were stopped by authorities in Lagos, allegedly over a traffic offence during a music video shoot.
Before the intervention, the crew had been using a classic 1967 Ford Galaxie 500 Convertible for the shoot, with the driver seen carrying a lady on his lap while cruising. Other passengers were also spotted sitting along the outer edge of the rear passenger compartment and trunk area.

The unusual passenger arrangement, combined with the filming activities on a busy public road, quickly attracted the attention of local authorities. Officials subsequently pulled up with their police van and brought the video shoot to a halt.
The incident has since generated reactions online, with some commenters pointing to the need for permission to film at the location and concerns over road safety.

A user said: “That place belongs to a private company called LCC, they are the ones managing and maintaining the place. Before you do anything there, you have to take permission or approval. Moreover, it is clearly stated on the bridge that no video, no pictures.”
“That’s LCC security, It’s wrong to use a busy route like that for shooting a music video. Night time could have been better with less traffic and enough caution signs,” a second user noted.
Another user said: “that’s why I didn’t even oppose them. Those guy must probably have not taken any permissions for a shoot”.

1967 Ford Galaxie 500 Convertible
The star of the shoot was a classic 1967 Ford Galaxie 500 Convertible, reportedly sourced from local high-end car rental services in Lagos that cater to musicians and filmmakers seeking a retro, stylised look.
Finished in bright red with a distinctive white side strip, the vintage cruiser features vertical rear taillights and prominent chrome bumper accents, styling cues that reflect the bold automotive design language of the mid-1960s.
