Lamborghini Unveils 920-HP Temerario Polizia Supercar For Italian Police

Automobili Lamborghini CEO Stephan Winkelmann has officially presented the brand-new Temerario Polizia to the Italian State Police, extending a successful 22-year collaboration with the nation’s security forces that began with the first Gallardo in 2004.
The police supercar was handed over during a ceremony attended by Italy’s Minister of the Interior, Matteo Piantedosi, and the Director of the Traffic, Railway and Special Units Police of the Italian State Police at the company’s Sant’Agata Bolognese headquarters.

Visually, the Temerario Polizia wears the traditional light-blue-and-white livery of the Italian State Police. It comes equipped with aerodynamic blue LED light bars, sirens, and an onboard defibrillator for immediate roadside medical emergencies.

When the Temerario Polizia enters service with the Italian State Police, it will join the Lamborghini cars already in its fleet and ready for special services, including urgent medical transport of organs such as kidneys, as well as highway patrol duties.
Like the base car, the Temerario Polizia is powered by an advanced plug-in hybrid powertrain, which pairs a 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine with three electric motors to unleash a mind-boggling 920 horsepower.

This hybrid powertrain allows the supercar to rocket from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 2.7 seconds, with a top speed of 343 km/h. This extreme speed ensures that critical medical supplies reach hospitals across the Autostrade network in record time.
In total, six vehicles have entered the fleet of the Italian State Police over more than two decades, each boasting advanced technologies designed to support the force’s security and emergency operations.

Since the collaboration began, these special Lamborghini police cars have played a part in more than 200 organ transport missions across Italy, as well as participating in more than 1,500 road safety education events to promote safe driving.
Over the last two decades, this elite Lamborghini police fleet has included legendary models such as the Gallardo (2004–2005) and Gallardo LP 560-4 (2008). Still in service with the Italian State Police are the Huracán LP 610-4 and the 657-horsepower Urus Performante.
