85-Year-Old Obasanjo Goes Behind Wheels Of Keke To Pick Up And Drop Off Passengers In Abeokuta
85-year-old Olusegun Obasanjo went behind the wheels of Keke to pick up and drop off passengers in abeokuta.
The journey started from Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library to Kuto underbridge while picking up random passengers.
As part of activities to mark his 85th birthday, Obasanjo donated 85 tricycles to young people selected from the 36 states and the FCT.
It was donated through the Youth Development Centre of the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library (OOPL).
Last month, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo donated 85 tricycles, popularly known as Keke Marwa, to young people selected from the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), as part of activities to mark his 85th birthday.
The tricycles was distributed to the beneficiaries at an event anchored by the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library (OOPL) and tagged “OBJ @85 Free Keke Programme”.
But the highlight of the Youth Empowerment programme was when the Ex-president went behind the wheels of one of the tricycles to pick up and drop off passengers along the road.
The journey started from his OOPL residence to Kuto underbridge while picking up random passengers, who were excited to be driven by the former president.
To safeguard Obasanjo from would be attackers, heavily armed security men can be seen jogging alongside the tricycle to give the Ex-president the much needed protection.
