Lotus Gives The Emira A Mild Upgrade For 2026
Lotus has implemented several technical upgrades that improve its track performance while enhancing everyday comfort.
All new Emira models now feature improved cooling system lines that significantly enhance the flow to the transmission oil cooler and main radiator. This innovative piping design not only reduces the vehicle’s weight but also boosts performance. Lotus has also recalibrated the eight-speed dual-clutch transmission for faster, more precise shifts. Furthermore, the lineup proudly includes two striking new colors: EOS Green and Purple Haze metallic.
The V6-powered Emira has received some upgrades and is now referred to as the V6 SE, serving as the model’s new flagship. The 3.5-litre supercharged V6 engine remains unchanged, producing 400 horsepower. However, Lotus has optimized the dampers and made subtle adjustments to the wheel alignment to enhance handling and comfort.
The Emira V6 SE comes standard with a six-speed manual transmission. Lotus has also enhanced the shift quality by introducing a new compression mount for the gearbox, which they claim will lead to more precise gear changes.
The Emira Turbo, the entry model, features a Mercedes-AMG-sourced four-cylinder turbocharged engine similar to the Turbo SE. It is equipped with an improved eight-speed dual-clutch transmission.
