Range Rover Sport Electric Unveiled With 550-hp, 609 km Range

British luxury automaker Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) has officially revealed the all-electric Range Rover Sport Electric, marking the start of a new zero-emissions era for the performance-focused luxury SUV.

The Range Rover Sport Electric features dual 260kW electric motors that generate a combined 550 horsepower and a colossal 850 Nm of peak torque—the latter being the highest ever recorded on any Range Rover Sport model.

Thanks to the massive torque output, which ramps up 50% faster than the Range Rover Electric, the near-silent luxury SUV can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph (0–97 km/h) in a blistering 4.3 seconds using Dynamic Launch Mode.

Power comes from a 118.5 kWh battery, giving the electric Range Rover Sport a claimed driving range of up to 378 miles (609 km) per charge. Its 800-volt electrical architecture enables rapid charging, delivering a 10–80% charge in around 22 minutes and adding up to 136 miles (220 km) of range in just 10 minutes.

To enhance its on-road handling, engineers gave the electric SUV a 61 percent stiffer body structure and a 73mm lower centre of gravity than plug-in hybrid variants, alongside All-Wheel Steering and Electronic Active Roll Control.

To prove its off-road credentials, JLR tested the Range Rover Sport Electric across Italy’s steep Carrara marble quarries, where it tackled loose surfaces, daunting 45-degree inclines and deep water with a maximum wading depth of 900mm.

“Range Rover Sport is the most dynamic expression of Range Rover. With Range Rover Sport Electric we’re taking that spirit of visceral engagement and desire into the electric age. It is first and foremost a Range Rover Sport,” said Martin Limpert, Managing Director at Range Rover.

Built on JLR’s MLA-Flex platform at the Solihull manufacturing plant in the UK, the Range Rover Sport Electric is available in Dynamic SE, Dynamic HSE, Autobiography and First Edition specifications.

The new Range Rover Sport Electric is now available to order, with UK pricing starting at £109,810 for the Dynamic SE. The Autobiography costs £122,780, while the First Edition starts at £126,290. First customer deliveries are expected in 2027.
