Davido Acquires Open-top Mercedes‑Maybach SL 680 “White Ambience”

Afrobeat star, Davido, adds Mercedes‑Maybach SL 680 Monogram Series “White Ambience” to his collection.

Mercedes-Maybach SL 680 is an open-top SL 63-based two-seater that combines the Maybach luxury with the AMG power.

His SL 680 “White Ambience” combines an obsidian black metallic contrasts with MANUFAKTUR opalite white magno.

It is powered by a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine, which allows it to reach 100 km/h in 4.1 seconds and a top-speed of 260 km/h.

It comes six months after Davido splashed N3B on a Rolls-Royce Phantom 8 Series II and a Rolls-Royce Spectre Electric Coupe.

Afrobeat star, Davido, has added an open-top 2026 Mercedes‑Maybach SL 680 to his car collection, nearly six months after splashing nearly N3 billion on a brand new 2025 Rolls-Royce Phantom 8 Series II and a Rolls-Royce Spectre Electric Coupe.

Davido first made his interest known back in September 2024 after liking a review of the Mercedes‑Maybach SL 680 Monogram Series in a post also liked by the official Instagram handles of Mercedes-Benz USA and Maybach Luxury.

Davido wrote “Awwww Mehn”.

First unveiled in August 2024 and billed as the sportiest model in Maybach’s history, the all-new 2026 Mercedes-Maybach SL 680 is an open-top SL 63-based two-seater that combines the Maybach luxury with the AMG power.

Mercedes-Maybach SL 680 is available in two design concepts : “Red Ambience” and “White Ambience” – the latter, the specs chosen by Davido, which combines an obsidian black metallic contrasts with MANUFAKTUR opalite white magno.

On the outside, the SL-badged drop-top Maybach sports an upright 3-pointed Star and an illuminated Maybach Grille while the rear end gets a unique taillights with Maybach lighting signatures.

Inside, the door panels, the centre console, the brand’s signature comfort seats and the space behind the seats are all finished in crystal white nappa leather.

Powering the SL 680 is a 585-horsepower 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine, which allows the two-seater to reach 100 km/h (60 mph) in 4.1 seconds and then to a top speed of 260 km/h.
