Afrobeats icon Davido has fueled rumors of acquiring a new $5 million Bugatti W16 Mistral after posting Instagram Story videos of himself cruising in the limited-edition, open-top roadster in Dubai, which is one of only 99 units in existence.
This video of Davido sitting in the passenger seat of a Bugatti W16 Mistral surfaced just a day after Abuja Car Limited announced the arrival of Burna Boy’s Bugatti Chiron VXX Special Edition, which is valued at ₦9 billion.
Although Davido’s fanbase celebrated what appeared to be a new addition to his multi-million dollar fleet, skeptics questioned whether he bought or rented the Bugatti hypercar, which featured a Dubai registration plate.
Autojosh can’t say for now if the unverified fan claims are true, but we know Davido’s multi-million-dollar garage already features luxury models like the Mercedes-Maybach S-Class by Virgil Abloh, a Lamborghini Aventador, and a Rolls-Royce Cullinan.
His collection also includes an open-top Mercedes-Maybach SL 680 “White Ambience,” a Rolls-Royce Spectre electric coupé, a Lamborghini Revuelto, a Rolls-Royce Cullinan Series II, and a Bentley Bentayga.
The W16 Mistral features Bugatti’s iconic 8.0-liter W16 engine, which first appeared in the 2005 Veyron and later powered the Chiron and Divo hypercars. This powertrain allowed the vehicle to achieve a record-breaking speed of 453.91 km/h (282 mph), making it the world’s fastest open-top car.
