Peugeot plans to launch seven new or updated models in Europe by 2030, balancing EVs with hybrid and combustion engines using Stellantis technology.

The French automaker has abandoned its plan to go all-electric in Europe by 2030, opting instead to offer EVs alongside updated petrol and hybrid models. CEO Alain Favey confirmed that successors to the 308 and 408 are in development, with the brand leveraging its Stellantis scale to prioritize new technology and distinct design. Peugeot has dropped its all-electric 2030 goal for a multi-powertrain strategy. By leveraging Stellantis platforms and focusing on distinct design, the brand aims to reach 1.5 million annual sales by 2030.

The brand will launch two Dongfeng-partnered models in China next year, featuring the aggressive LED design language previewed by the Concept 6 and 8. CEO Alain Favey emphasized that this distinct aesthetic is crucial for standing out against growing competition.
