Swedish Soccer Icon Zlatan Ibrahimovic Buys $4 Million Ferrari F80 For 45th Birthday (Photos)

Swedish former professional footballer and ex-Barcelona FC star Zlatan Ibrahimovic has splashed out on a stunning brand-new Ferrari F80 sports car worth over €3.6 million ($4.0 million) to celebrate his birthday on October 3.

The 45-year-old Swedish icon, who now serves in a senior advisory capacity at AC Milan, shared a video of his lavish new wheels on his Instagram page with the caption, “Happy Birthday to Zlatan”.

Zlatan’s F80 is one of a limited run of just 799 examples. Finished in black, the ultra-exclusive supercar features an active rear wing that helps generate 1,000 kg of downforce at 250 km/h, while its dramatic butterfly doors add to its striking appearance.

The F80 uses a 3.0-litre V6 petrol engine with three battery-powered electric motors. This V6-hybrid powertrain allows the 1,200-horsepower car to accelerate from rest to 62 mph in just 2.15 seconds and reach a top speed of 217 mph.

The new F80 also continues Ibrahimovic’s well-known birthday tradition of treating himself to exotic cars, particularly Ferraris. Over the years, the Swedish star has added several highly desirable models to his reported collection.

For his 43rd birthday in 2024, Ibrahimovic acquired a track-focused Ferrari SF90 XX Stradale, valued at around $1 million. Three years earlier, the Ferrari SF90 Stradale joined his collection as a 40th-birthday gift to himself.

His 38th and 39th birthdays saw him splash out on an exclusive $1.8 million Ferrari Monza SP2 2-Seater, one of only 499 examples in the world, and a red Porsche 911 Targa 4S Heritage Design Edition, respectively.

As a Ferrari fan, Ibrahimovic also boasts a $3.2 million Enzo, one of only 400 examples, a F430 Spider, a LaFerrari, and a $2.2 million Daytona SP3, which he acquired in 2023 after trading the SF90 Stradale he got in 2021.

Ibrahimovic has previously been spotted in a Lamborghini Urus SUV, an Audi S8, a Lamborghini Gallardo, a Maserati GranTurismo, as well as a Porsche 918 Spyder—highlighting his long-running reputation for an extravagant taste in performance cars.
