BMW Group Delivers 1.7 Million BMW, MINI And Rolls-Royce Cars In 9 Months, Down 4.9%

BMW Group delivered 1,707,799 vehicles worldwide in the first nine months of 2026, representing a 4.9% decline compared with the same period in 2025, as challenging market conditions in China weighed on its global sales.
Despite the overall decline, the German automotive group, which owns BMW, MINI and Rolls-Royce, recorded delivery growth in Europe and the United States between January and September, according to its latest report published on October 13, 2026.
“In difficult market conditions, we were able to hold our own in Europe and the US,” said Jochen Goller, BMW AG’s Board of Management member responsible for Customer, Brands and Sales.
Combined BMW and MINI deliveries in Europe increased by 4.5% to 732,279 vehicles during the nine-month period, while deliveries rose by 3.4% to 307,402 units in the United States, driven by higher sales of BMW X models.

However, the company faced significant pressure in China—the world’s largest auto market—where deliveries fell by 21.8% to 376,128 vehicles between Q1-Q3, amid intensifying competition and challenging market conditions.
“The continued strength in new orders for our fully electric vehicles, in particular, confirms our course. The BMW iX3 is providing positive impetus for growth in the market, and we are also seeing strong customer interest in the new BMW 3 Series and BMW X5,” he added.
The BMW brand delivered 479,291 vehicles between July and September and 1,483,960 units worldwide in the first nine months, down 6.8% and 6.4%, respectively.
During these periods, BMW M delivered 48,915 (-6.3%) and 148,510 (-6.1%) high-performance vehicles, respectively.
Meanwhile, MINI recorded a stronger performance, delivering 220,247 vehicles (+6.8%), while BMW Motorrad delivered 46,605 motorcycles and scooters in the third quarter and 149,452 in the first nine months, down 12.5% and 6.1%, respectively.
Rolls-Royce, the group’s ultra-luxury marque whose lineup includes the Cullinan, Spectre, Ghost and Phantom, delivered 1,069 vehicles in the 3rd quarter and 3,592 units between January and September, marking a respective decline of 18.0% and 12.4% compared with the corresponding period last year.
During the nine-month period, BMW Group delivered 314,552 fully electric vehicles, down 2.7%, while deliveries increased by 7.2% to 110,257 units in the third-quarter, with fully electric vehicles accounting for 34.7% of deliveries in Europe during the quarter.
