Xiaomi’s YU7 GT Dethrones Audi RS Q8 as the fastest SUV at Germany’s renowned Nürburgring Nordschleife track.
YU7 GT completed the legendary 12.94-mile race track in 7 minutes and 22.755 seconds, bettering the Audi RS Q8’s time of 7:36.698.
Record run took place on April 2nd 2026, 7 weeks before the high-performance YU7 GT made its official debut on Thursday May 21.
Equipped with Xiaomi’s latest electric powertrain tech and master-tuned chassis, the YU7 GT receives an exclusive widebody treatment.
Rides on 295mm rear wide tyres, features a unified front splitter, active rear diffuser and 24K gold carbon fiber badges.

A Xiaomi YU7 GT with an optional ‘Track Package’ has set a new lap record for a production SUV at Germany’s renowned Nürburgring Nordschleife track, shattering the previous record set by Audi RS Q8 by a staggering 14 seconds.
Driven by Xiaomi’s Chief test driver Ren Zhoucan, the YU7 GT test vehicle completed the legendary 12.94-mile (20.832 km) race track in 7 minutes and 22.755 seconds, bettering the Audi RS Q8’s time of 7 minutes and 36.698 seconds.

The new record was set on April 2nd 2026, seven (7) weeks before the high-performance ‘Xiaomi YU7 GT’ made its official debut on Thursday May 21, alongside the new entry-level ‘Xiaomi YU7 Standard’.
Equipped with Xiaomi’s latest electric powertrain technology and master-tuned chassis, the YU7 GT receives an exclusive widebody treatment with 295mm rear wide tyres, a unified front splitter, active rear diffuser and 24K gold carbon fiber badges.

Powering it is Xiaomi’s latest-generation HyperEngine V8s EVO featuring a front and rear dual-motor system with 1,003 PS. It allows YU7 GT to achieve 0–100 km/h (60 mph) in just 2.92 seconds and an astonishing top speed of 300 km/h (186 mph).
The SUV’s record comes 10 months after Xiaomi SU7 Ultra equipped with optional Track Package smashed the fastest four-door car lap record at the Nürburgring Nordschleife – a record now held by Porsche Taycan Turbo GT with Manthey Kit.
