Through 2027, BMW Will Flood The Market With New Vehicles
The German automaker has secured its lead in the luxury car market by diversifying its lineup and offering all powertrain types. Following this successful strategy, the brand will continue launching new gasoline, diesel, hybrid, electric, and hydrogen models through 2027.
BMW’s investor presentation outlines an extensive vehicle roadmap through 2027, featuring new models like the i3, iX3, 7 Series facelift, and X5/iX5. While these plans suggest a broad market expansion, the company clarifies that the provided graphic is for illustrative purposes only.
BMW’s lineup will expand across all segments by 2026, with the next-gen combustion 3 Series and the inaugural iX4 expected to debut before year-end. The combustion-powered X4 will be discontinued.
Many New BMW Models Coming Next Year
BMW’s 2027 lineup is set to expand significantly. Confirmed launches include the electric M3, Alpina 7 Series, and second-gen X7, with an electric iX7, i3 Touring, and ICE 3 Series Touring expected. Additionally, the 5 Series will receive a Neue Klasse facelift featuring a radically redesigned dashboard with a large central screen and pillar-to-pillar windscreen projection.
The X1 will receive a mid-cycle refresh, while the electric iX1 will skip a facelift to adopt a new RWD platform with advanced battery tech. The i4 Convertible and next-gen X6 are expected in 2028, and a rumored off-road SUV project has reportedly been canceled.
BMW is phasing out the Z4 and 8 Series, with the i4 Gran Coupe, iX successor, and 2 Series Active Tourer also unlikely to continue. The future of the XM remains uncertain.
