Davido takes delivery of his open-top Mercedes‑Maybach SL 680 “White Ambience” high-performance luxury roadster. 

Based on the also impressive Mercedes-AMG SL 63 roadster, Davido’s SL 680 combines the Maybach luxury with the AMG power.

Afrobeat star, Davido, has finally taken delivery of his 2026 Mercedes‑Maybach SL 680 “White Ambience”, nearly 9 months after announcing the purchase of what the brand billed as the “sportiest model in Maybach’s history”.

The music star’s Mercedes‑Maybach SL S680 was purchase through US-based auto dealer, Mr Jay, who personally delivered the open-top sports car to Davido’s residence in Lagos, Nigeria.

Davido first made his interest known back in September 2024, after liking a review of the Mercedes‑Maybach SL 680 Monogram Series in a post also liked by the official Instagram handles of Mercedes-Benz USA and Maybach Luxury.

Davido wrote “Awwww Mehn”.

Based on the also impressive Mercedes-AMG SL 63 high-performance luxury roadster, Davido’s Mercedes-Maybach SL 680 combines the Maybach luxury with the AMG power.

SL 680 is available in two design concepts : “Red Ambience” and “White Ambience” – the latter, the specs chosen by Davido, which combines an obsidian black metallic contrasts with MANUFAKTUR opalite white magno.

On the outside, the SL-badged drop-top Maybach rides on an exclusive 21‑inch forged wheels and sports an upright 3-pointed Star. It also gets an illuminated Maybach Grille while the rear end gets a unique taillights with Maybach lighting signatures.

Highlights inside includes a MANUFAKTUR Crystal White Nappa leather with floral design and embossed Mercedes-Maybach emblems as well as 12.3-inch driver and 11.9-inch multimedia displays.

Powering the SL 680 is a 577-horsepower 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine, which sends power to all four wheels via a 9G-TRONIC automatic transmission. It allows the two-seater to reach 100 km/h (60 mph) in 4.1 seconds and then to a top speed of 260 km/h (approximately 162mph).
