Toyota Racing’s #7 TR010 and #8 TR010 Hypercars (prototypes) came first and third respectively on Sunday at the 94th Le Mans 24 Hours as Toyota recorded its sixth win in the legendary French race and its 51st FIA WEC victory in its 102nd start.
Toyota emerged at the top among the big-name manufacturers that took part in the top-tier Hypercar category, a list that included Aston Martin, Alpine, BMW, Cadillac, Ferrari, Genesis, and Peugeot.

During the day and night phases of the legendary 2026 edition of the 24 Hours of Le Mans, the 18 cars (prototypes) in the top-tier Hypercar category reached speeds exceeding 340 km/h, all while sharing the track with slower LMGT3 and LMP2 cars.
Because nearly a third of the 24 Hours of Le Mans is raced at night, every car participating in the endurance race must be equipped with rear lighting systems to maximize visibility during high-speed, pitch-black and torrential conditions.

These lights also function as a brand identity and alert drivers in slower classes that a faster car—Le Mans Hypercar—is approaching from behind.
“When Night Reveals The DNA of Every Brand,” FIA WEC (Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile World Endurance Championship) wrote while sharing the unique manufacturer identifiers of the participating teams.
Le Mans Hypercar (LMH) rear lighting systems, which utilizes advanced LED and laser fiber-optic arrays, are integrated into the aerodynamic profile to illuminate diffusers and spoilers.
