No Casualty As 20ft Container Crushes Toyota Camry In Lagos
No casualty as 20ft container falls on and crushes an unoccupied Toyota Camry along the Cement bus stop.
LASEMA recovers fallen 20ft Container, Toyota Camry off the road, restores the road to its vehicular activities.

An articulated truck conveying a 20ft container on Monday May 15th fell on an unoccupied red Toyota Camry sedan along the Cement bus stop inward Dopemu area of Lagos State.
Fortunately, there was no loss of life or injury recorded, but the incident caused serious traffic gridlock on the Lagos-Abeokuta Expressway.
Following the crash, the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) activated it’s emergency response plan by deploying its state-of-the-art sophisticated heavy-duty equipment to recover the affected vehicles off the road.

A statement signed by Dr Olufemi Damilola Oke-Osanyintolu, the
PS LASEMA, reads :
“Consequent upon arrival at the scene, it was discovered that an IVECO truck laden with 20ft container with unknown registration number and a Toyota Camry with registration number JJJ 633 HX were involved in an accident at the above mentioned location.”
“Further investigation gathered at the scene revealed that the truck, while it was stationed on the road side fell on a car that was parked by the road side.”


“The container, the truck and the Toyota Camry had been cleared off the road with the aid of the Agency’s heavy duty equipment (crane) to a layby and handed over to the Police officers at the scene from Alabo Police Station Dopemu, Agege.”
The road has since been restored to its normal vehicular activities. LASEMA’s LRT, LASG Fire and Rescue Service, LASTMA, LNSC and Nigeria Police Force were the responders at the scene.
