Lamborghini is developing even more extreme models following the success of the Huracan Sterrato and Huracan STO, which demonstrated that the possibilities for modifying standard models are limitless.

“From a brand perspective, [these models] give you enormous opportunities,” Federico Foscini, the Italian brand’s head of sales and marketing, tells Autocar.

“I don’t think we’ve even capitalized on the opportunity enough, because there’s a lot you can do with Sterrato, and I think in the future, for sure, we can present this opportunity at some point.”

Hinting at Sterrato’s return, Foscini said, “We know this is ready; the market is there,” meaning the only remaining hurdle is “we have to make it work.”

“We don’t just want to upgrade; we want to surprise,” he said, hinting at the possibility of launching limited editions of the Urus and Revuelto, rather than sticking to just the Temerario.

Foscini said, “We’re always looking for crazy things in all dimensions. For example, we went to Pikes Peak in the Urus. We also introduced the race-only Urus [ST-X]. But sometimes our concepts become reality.”

In addition to the new derivatives, Lamborghini is increasing the amount of personalization it offers to customers in an effort to increase profitability without increasing sales volume. “We want to maintain exclusivity,” Foscini explained.
