Federal Fire Service Boss Arrives Kogi In Grand Convoy Of Red Vehicles, Spark Online Reactions
Federal Fire Service boss, Olumode Adeyemi, arrives Kogi State, in grand convoy of red vehicles, spark online reactions.

The Controller-General of the Federal Fire Service, Olumode Adeyemi, returned to his home state of Kogi, where he received royal blessings and held engagements with traditional rulers and stakeholders.
In a statement by the Federal Fire Service, the agency said Olumode Adeyemi “marked a historic homecoming and thanksgiving celebration in Kabba, Kogi State, following his appointment on August 14, 2025.”

A video shared in a post on X shows the controller-general arriving at an event in a convoy of red vehicles, including his armored Toyota Land Cruiser 300 Series SUV, motorcycle outriders, buses and pickup trucks.
The Fire Service C-G’s motorcade has an unmistakable presence on the road, thanks to their striking “Fire Engine Red” – a color used to symbolize immediate danger, fire hazards, and emergency response, aligning with safety standard color codes.

Reacting to calls for increased presence of the Federal Fire Service across the state, the CGF assured that the Service is already working towards establishing a Fire Station in Kabba to address the recurring fire incidents in the area.
Fire Service boss’s stunning convoy…
As expected, the now deleted video has sparked criticism on social media, with some users questioning the pageantry display amid challenges facing the fire service.
Below is how some Netizens reacted to the post.
A user, @laplace_bopm, wrote: “No wonder, there is no water in ur station, u all use ur lean resources to fund the lifestyle of ur bosses.”

Another user, @TheOmegaM, described the development as “a flagrant waste of taxpayers’ money,”
A third user @Bashir GS said : “Imagine displaying such nonsense in a country where we don’t have enough fire service stations.”
Another user, @Napp06 criticised the show of force, stating: “I can’t believe the page of the federal fire service of Nigeria… is recording such show of force and importance with public funds.”
A user, @bin_gbada, said : “Those luxury SUVs will buy 3–4 firefighting trucks. Once again, we are not poor. We are being criminally mis-governed. Nigeria presently has fewer than 250 fire-fighting trucks for a population of over 200 million people.”
