Lewis Hamilton Drives Ferrari F1 Car For The First Time At Fiorano Track Ahead Of 2025 Season - autojosh

British driver Lewis Hamilton said that he has no intention of ending his career soon and revealed that he has a contract with the Ferrari team at least until the end of 2027, Sky Sport reported.

The seven-time world champion said ahead of Formula 1’s Canadian Grand Prix that he was unfazed by retirement speculation, despite criticism and fluctuating form since joining Ferrari last year.

– I am still under contract, so everything is completely clear to me, Lewis said in response to questions about the future.

The Brit entered the 2026 season in solid form and won his first podium in the Ferrari jersey at the second race in China, but in the final races in Japan and Miami, he was behind teammate Charles Leclerc.

Hamilton had one of the toughest seasons of his career last year, as he failed to finish on the podium for the first time all year.

– I am still focused and motivated, and I love what I do with all my heart. ‘I will be here for a long time, so get used to it,’ said the 41-year-old driver.

He added that many are trying to “send him into retirement”, but that he is already thinking about the next five years of his career and life off the track.

The Formula 1 season continues this weekend with the Canadian Grand Prix.
