Koenigsegg Jesko Absolut Breaks 0-400-0 km/h Record – Plus Three More
Koenigsegg Jesko Absolut breaks 0-400-0 km/h world record after setting a new record time of 27.83 seconds.
During one run from standstill to 412 km/h, it set 4 new world records for a fully homologated, standard production car.
The Koenigsegg Jesko hypercar in ‘Absolut’ trim is designed specifically for straight-line speed.
Swedish supercar maker, Koenigsegg Automotive has announced that its Jesko Absolut has broken its 0-400-0 km/h world record after reaching a record-breaking time of 27.83 seconds at an airfield in Örebro, Sweden on Thursday, June 27th.
Behind the wheels was test driver Markus Lundh, who piloted the Jesko Absolut to the new record time, shaving 1.33 seconds from the previous record time of 28.81 seconds set by the Regera in June 2023.
But the new 0-400-0 kph record time is just one of four (4) new world records for a fully standard production car set by the Koenigsegg Jesko Absolut during one run from standstill to 412 km/h.

The Jesko in ‘Absolut’ trim is designed specifically for straight-line speed. During the 0-249-0 mph (0-400-0 km/h) world record run, the hypercar set the following records :
0-400-0 km/h – 27.83 seconds
0-400 km/h – 18.82 seconds
0-250-0 mph – 28.27 seconds
0-250 mph – 19.20 seconds
For the run, Jesko Absolut was fitted with standard Michelin Pilot Sport Cup2 R tyres and ran on E85 fuel. The only modifications made to the car were the addition of a roll cage for driver safety and a One:1 driver seat.
Commenting on the record run – and the potential for more, Christian von Koenigsegg, the CEO of Koenigsegg Automotive, said :
“This record run validated the accuracy of the simulated and calculated performance of the Jesko Absolut, which gives us great confidence in its ability to outright be the fastest, fully homologated production car in the world. Now it is all down to tire testing, development, and approval, before we finally can make an attempt at that record.
In parallel, we plan to see what kind of records the Jesko Attack can achieve, given its astonishing track performance.”
The two-seater Koenigsegg Jesko Absolut is powered by a twin-turbo 5.0-litre V8, which makes 1,280-horsepower on petrol or 1600-horsepower on E85 fuel. Computer simulations suggest the Jesko could theoretically be able to reach a top-speed of 330 mph (532 km/h).
