One-off Bugatti Chiron Profilée Sold For Record-breaking $10.8 Million At Auction
One-off Bugatti Chiron Profilée Hypercar sold for a record-breaking price of €9.8m ($10.8m) at RM Sotheby’s auction in Paris.
According to Bugatti, a percentage of the proceeds will go to benefit charitable causes.
Profilée is not only the world’s most valuable Chiron, but also the most valuable new automotive model ever sold at auction.
Bugatti Chiron Profilée was originally planned to be positioned between the Chiron Sport and Chiron Pur Sport.
But it never made it into production as all 500 slots reserved for Chiron had been sold before its development was completed.

The first and only Bugatti Chiron Profilée secured its place in automotive history last night after been sold at an RM Sotheby’s auction in Paris for a record-breaking price of €9,792,500 (or about $10,767,441 at current exchange rates).
This groundbreaking sale not only make the rare hypercar the world’s most valuable Chiron, but the Profilée now stands as the most valuable new automotive model ever sold at auction.

A percentage of the proceeds will go to benefit charitable causes. Announcing the sales on his official Facebook page, Bugatti CEO Mate Rimac, said :
“World record for most expensive new car at auction – 9.7M € (+ VAT will be about 12M). Congrats to the whole Bugatti team! Thank you RM Sotheby’s! And congrats to the new owner.”

First unveiled in December 2022, the exclusive one-of-one Bugatti Chiron Profilée was originally planned to be positioned between the Chiron Sport and the Chiron Pur Sport.
The French Hypercar maker said that the idea to create the Chiron Profilée was born as customers expressed an interest in a car that was slightly “less radical” than the Chiron Pur Sport.

But the Chiron Profilée never made it into production as all 500 build slots for the limited-allocation Bugatti Chiron had sold out faster than expected before its development was completed.
Profilée is powered by Bugatti’s 1,500 horsepower 8.0-liter W16 engine, allowing it to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.3 seconds and up to a top speed of 380 km/h, compared with the Chiron Pur Sport’s 350 km/h.
