The Skoda Vision IN Crossover SUV comes with BMW X6-style illuminated grille, panoramic glass roof and pop-out door handles.

Skoda has debuted the Vision IN concept crossover SUV at the Auto Expo 2020 alongside the mechanically related Volkswagen Taigun.

The Skoda Vision IN is specifically designed for the Indian market. It previews the design of Skoda’s India 2.0 SUV that’s slated to hit roads in the first half of 2021.

The mid-sized crossover SUV is based on the Volkswagen Group’s India-specific MQB-A0-IN platform.

On the outside, Skoda Vision IN SUV features distinctive SKODA grille featuring illuminated crystalline twin ribs and logo. It has a pop-out door handles, 19-inch alloy wheels, aluminium roof rails and panoramic Glass Roof.

Inside, the mid-size SUV has tablet-styled infotainment system measuring 12.3 inches and the digital instrument. It features a gear selector lever that is replaced by a small rocker switch and a  three-spoke multifunction steering wheel, with buttons and knurl wheels.

Inside the bonnet is a four-cylinder 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine that is mated to a 7-speed DSG. The engine makes 148 horsepower and 250 Nm (184 lb-ft). It allows the crossover to sprint to 62 mph (100 km/h) in 8.7 seconds and a top speed of 121 mph (195 km/h).

When the production version hits the dealership, the crossover SUV will rival the 2020 Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, and MG Hector.
