Two Police Officers Injured As Thief Races Stolen Land Rover Discovery SUV Down A Train Track (Video)
Car chase sees desperate thief drive a stolen Land Rover Discovery SUV on train tracks to excape from advancing police.
Passengers at Cheshunt station experienced what has been described “like a scene from Grand Theft Auto” on Thursday when a Land Rover Discovery SUV came racing down a train track.
The driver behind the wheels of the third-generation Discovery had earlier been stopped by police in Cheshunt. According to reports, two police officers were injured while trying to remove the thief from the stolen SUV.

Video footage shows a male and female police officers beside the open driver’s door, shouting : “Get out of the car!”
While trying to excape from the police officers, the Land Rover SUV damaged few other cars before speeding off. An attempt to avoid being tracked by the police led the thief to take the SUV off the road and onto the railway.
The footage also shows the British offroading machine smashing through the barriers of a level crossing. The driver later dumped it near the Lane and escaped on foot.
The Land Rover Discovery was later removed from the tracks, allowing the line to be reopened to services. Hertfordshire Police are currently working with the British Transport Police to find the culprit.
