Height restriction barriers are simple and effective ways from preventing large vehicles from accessing unauthorised areas such as bridges retail parks as well as car parks.

But at times, the maximum permissible heights may prevent unintended vehicles like this tuned Mercedes-Benz G-Class from passing through as seen in the footage shared below.

In the footage, occupants of a tuned Brabus G-Wagon SUV can be seen to be a little bit anxious as they aren’t sure if the high-riding boxy SUV will pass through a barrier with a maximum permissible height of 2 metres (6 ft 6 inch)

Luckily, the tuned Mercedes-Benz G-Class by German high-performance automotive aftermarket tuning company, BRABUS, was able to pass through by an inch despite the aftermarket kits above the SUV.

Operatives of the LASTMA, on Sunday October 8th apprehended the driver of truck for wilfully damaging the newly installed truck barrier on Dorman-Long Bridge, Surulere area inwards Ikorodu road -(Fadeyi).

The now damaged truck barrier ascending Dorman-long Bridge was newly erected and completed this morning (Sunday October 8th) after a Travel Advisory issued by the Lagos State Government.
