2021 RAM 1500 TRX Is The World’s Most Powerful Pickup Truck (Photos)

Dodge has been going all out by producing the most powerful production vehicles for a cheap. Now they have come with the RAM 1500 TRX which is the most powerful production pickup ever built. The RAM will finally dethrone the Ford F150 Raptor once it goes on sale later this year. Although Ford still keeps the performance of the Raptor a secret.
Let’s begin with the exterior, the RAM comes fitted with 18-inch wheels that are wrapped in 35-inch Goodyear Territory all-terrain tires which were specially designed for the TRX. With the large tires, Dodge also added wider fenders and extended flares to make the tires fit perfectly. The TRX receives its own special suspension system with active damping, which RAM says was inspired by desert off-road racers. Customers can further customize their TRX with rock-rail steps or full steps, graphics, auxiliary light racks, and bed-spare mounts (Mopar will offer 100 accessory items for the TRX).

The interior is still the same although RAM fitted a flat-bottom steering wheel with thumb-rests. A red start/stop button and a unique instrument graphics add beauty to the dashboard. Buyers can go from basic to upscale with their choice of premium cloth and vinyl, premium-wrapped leather and suede, or premium-wrapped leather and suede with available red and carbon fibre accents. One of the biggest interior changes is an all-new centre console which has a “performance floor shifter”. It replaces the rotary knob normally found on the dashboard. It comes with covered cup holders, a wireless smartphone charger and metallic accents.
Now for the sweet part, the engine. The RAM 1500 TRX is powered by a 6.2-litre supercharged V8 powerplant. This engine produces a whopping 702hp and 650 lb-ft of torque. Although gotten from the Hellcat but detuned and it’s still very impressive. A high-performance ZF 8-speed transmission, shared with the Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk, routes the Hellcat’s power to all four wheels through a part-time four-wheel-drive system.
