Dubbed as the ‘Magic 8D City’, Chongqing, known for variety of peculiar buildings due to its complex terrain, is the fourth largest Chinese city by urban population.
While building a gas station on the first floor and on the roof of the same building may be difficult in other places, the mountainous landscape in the region made this possible in Chongqing.
The gas station located in Yuzhong District is built on the steep mountain beside the river. According to local reports, the gas station on the first floor is connected to Changjiang Binjiang Road, while the one on the roof is connected to Nanqu Road.
But Chongqing isn’t known only for this 6-Story building with two filling stations as the city’s monorail system is the world’s longest and busiest monorail system with the greatest number of stations (70).
