Lanre Shittu Motors unveils Made-In-Nigeria Leopaard CT7 Pickup truck.
The pickup is assembled at Lanre Shittu Motors multi-million dollar plant in Lagos.
It will compete with Toyota Hilux, Mitsubishi L200 and Ford Ranger.

Automobile distributor, Lanre Shittu Motors has rolled out brand new Leopaard pickup vehicles into the Nigerian market.
The automobile distributor is known for making the Mack and JAC pickup trucks household names in Nigeria.
The new trucks are being assembled at Lanre Shittu Motors multi-million dollar plant located along Oshodi-Apapa Expressway.
The one-tonne truck is also described as a workhorse for people who desire quality trucks for their businesses or families.

Explaining the reason behind the introduction of the pickup, the Group Executive Director, Lanre Shittu Motors, Mr. Taiwo Shittu, said:
“Our over 40 years experience in the nation’s automotive industry has taught us so much about the sector and we understand the needs of the customers.”
He added that :
“The introduction of the pickup is our response to the yearnings of our numerous customers for quality pickups at affordable prices.”
“The Leopaard is the answer to this because it has got anything a customer needs in the pickup segment.”
The mid-size pickup is set to compete in the same segment with fastselling trucks like Toyota Hilux, Mitsubishi L200 and Ford Ranger.
“We can match any pickup in terms of quality and performance, but outclass them with competitive pricing.”
“The Leopaard is one of the most revered pickups brands in China because of its relationship with the Chinese military.”
The pickup truck is available in double and single cabin. Interior features includes leather seats, reverse camera, CD players, air conditioning system.
Two engine options are available for the Leopaard CT7. A 1.9 liter turbo inline-4 engine producing 150hp or a 2.4 liter inline-4 engine producing 147hp.
Furthermore, the 1.9 liter turbo engine is mated to a 6 speed manual transmission, while the 2.4 liter engine is mated to a 5 speed manual transmission.
