Lagos-based ValueJet Takes Delivery Of Two Bombardier CRJ900 Jets Ahead Of Launch
Lagos-based startup ValueJet airline takes delivery of two Bombardier CRJ900s ahead of launch.
It will deploy the aircrafts for regional flight services after demo flights required for NCAA certification process.
ValueJet will target cities across Nigeria, focusing on flights connecting Lagos, Abuja, Jos, Kano, Owerri, Benin, and Yola.


Nigerian airline startup ValueJet has taken delivery of its first two Bombardier CRJ900 regional jets. Both CRJ900 jets, with registration 5N-BXS and 5N-BXT, arrived at the Muritala Muhammed International Airport on Friday, May 20th, 2022.
ValueJet will deploy the aircrafts for regional flight services after completing the demonstration flights required for the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority’s (NCAA) certification process.


“ValueJet Receives First Two Aircraft, Prepares for Demo Flight.
Finally!!! We have received our first two purchased aircraft and now preparing for the mandatory demo flights towards receiving AOC. ✈️✈️✈️”, ValueJet tweeted.
“This is one of the many defining steps in ValueJet’s anticipated milestones. Performance, safety, and comfort informed the choice of our aircraft selection,” ValueJet MD, Omololu Majekodunmi, told local media.

“With a track record of safety, ValueJet will deploy these aircraft for regional flight services once we have completed all mandatory processes and secured AOC approvals.”
Lagos-based ValueJet was founded in 2018 as a virtual airline brokering flights through other airlines. After launch, the airline will target cities across Nigeria, focusing on flights connecting Lagos, Abuja, Jos, Kano, Owerri, Benin, and Yola.
