Governor Idris Gifts Kebbi State Lawmakers 24 Brand New Toyota Fortuner SUVs [PHOTOS]

Governor Nasir Idris of Kebbi State on Wednesday March 6th presented twenty-four (24) brand new Toyota Fortuner SUVs to members of the Kebbi State House of Assembly.

During the presentation ceremony held at the Government House, Governor Idris said the vehicles were meant to ease the official duties of the lawmakers. He expressed gratitude for the Assembly’s cooperation and understanding.

One of the highlights of the event was when Governor Idris joined the Speaker of the Assembly, Rt. Hon. Usman Muhammad Ankwe, in a test-drive of the Toyota Fortuner allocated to him.

The Force Public Relations Officer (PRO), ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi has revealed that road crashes in the country claim more lives of innocent Nigerians than insecurity, based on the records available to the police.

Adejobi made this known while replying an X (Twitter) user who urged the IGP Kayode Egbetokun to observe the organisation of police stations in Dubai, including the absence of accidents and seized vehicles.

In his response, Adejobi emphasizes that accidented and seized vehicles at police stations are due to legal issue, often due to reckIess driving, and not solely police’s fault.

One-chance : Avoid Cabs With 3 Passengers (Mostly Men) At The Back, Woman In The Front – Police

Amid increasing insecurity across the country, the Force Public Relations Officer (PRO), ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, has urged Nigerians to be cautious before boarding cabs to avoiding falling into the hands of one-chance syndicate.

In his advisory on how to avoid being a victim of one-chance robbery, Adejobi urged Nigerians to avoid cabs with 3 or 4 passengers (mostly men) at the back and woman in the front.

His security tips follows the recent arrest of some of the operators of “Shifting Seat One chance” syndicate in abuja. One of the cars confiscated by the police was reportedly bought with the proceeds of the criminal act.

Toyota Camrys Bought By Sokoto State Govt For Female-only Taxi Services Already Abandoned

Some of the twenty (20) Toyota Camry XSE sedans purchased by the Sokoto State Government last September for the female-only taxi scheme in the state have reportedly been abandoned.

In a footage shared by an X user, @___yellow, about thirteen (13) of the 20 units of Toyota Camrys purchased to cushion the effects of the fuel subsidy removal were seen parked.

The 20 Toyota Camrys were part of the 140 vehicles inaugurated by vice president Senator Kashim Shettima, for security agencies and public transportation scheme in Sokoto State.
