Bentley Batur Convertible By Mulliner Revealed As Final W12 Coachbuild - autojosh

Bentley Batur Convertible by Mulliner bespoke division revealed as final W12 Coachbuild masterpiece.

Limited to just 16 examples, the Batur Convertible follows the exquisitely hand-crafted Bacalar Barchetta and Batur Coupe.

The Batur Convertible has a folding roof that can be deployed or stowed in 19 seconds at speeds of up to 30 mph.

At the touch of a button, the Batur Convertible can be transformed from a luxurious coupe into an open-top Grand Tourer.

Bentley hasn’t announced the pricing for the Batur Convertible, but its Batur Coupe siblings cost $2 million each.

British luxury marque Bentley Motors has revealed the all-new two-seater Batur Convertible, the third coachbuilt Bentley of the modern era that will be limited to only 16 units worldwide.

Created by Mulliner, Bentley’s in house bespoke division, the Batur Convertible follows the exquisitely hand-crafted Bacalar Barchetta and Batur Coupe that were limited to just 12 and 18 units respectively.

Like the hand-crafted two-door Bacalar barchetta and Batur coupe, Mulliner’s in-house design team will work with each of the extraordinary clients to help co-create every Batur Convertible to their wishes.

The Batur Convertible has a folding roof that can be deployed or stowed in 19 seconds at speeds of up to 30 mph. At the touch of a button, the Batur Convertible can be transformed from a luxurious coupe into an open-top Grand Tourer while travelling at speeds of up to 30 mph (50 km/h).

Inside, highly exclusive 3D printed rose gold can be applied on the Bentley Drive Mode Selector, which encircles the start/stop button and used to change chassis modes.

Gold touches can also applied to Bentley’s iconic Organ Stop vent controls in the dashboard, as well as a rose gold insert marker on the steering wheel itself.

Like its Batur coupe sibling, the Batur Convertible uses the Bentley’s iconic W12 hand-assembled 6.0-litre twin-turbocharged engine with 740 horsepower (750 PS) and 738 lb-ft of torque.

According to Bentley, the Batur Convertible will be one of the last ever Bentleys to use this incredible powertrain, which “has metaphorically and literally powered Bentley’s success for the last two decades”.

Bentley hasn’t announced the pricing for the Batur Convertible, but it is expected to be pricier than its Batur Coupe siblings, which sold for an estimated price of $2 million each.
