Police in Vietnam demolish smuggled Lamborghini and G-Class after being left unclaimed for 4 years.
The Lamborghini Murcielago and G-Class SUV were being transported when police stopped the driver for check up.
Investigations by authorities shows that the national vehicle registration system had no records of the two vehicles.
Vietnam’s move to destroy the supercars is aimed to send strong message that it is serious in its efforts against smuggling.

Police in Vietnam have demolish a smuggled Lamborghini Murcielago sports car and a Mercedes-AMG G63 SUV (G-Class) after no one claimed the two exotic vehicles since they were seized by the authorities 4 years ago.
The two vehicles were being transported before being seized by police in Quang Binh in August 2020 as they suspected that were smuggled into the country due to lack of necessary legal documents.
According to local reports, the supercars, both previously used, were being transported from Hanoi to Ho Chi Minh City when police in Quang Binh stopped the 56 year old driver for check up.

Police in Vietnam demolish smuggled Lamborghini and Mercedes G-Class after being left unclaimed for 4 years.
After the driver failed to provide valid papers to verify the car’s legal origins, further investigations revealed that the national vehicle registration system had no records of the two vehicles.
Since their seizure in 2020, the cars were stored at the Quang Binh police headquarters, leaving them to deteriorate, before their destruction earlier this month after authorities failed to find their rightful owners.
Like in the Philippines where smuggled cars are crushed in the public, Vietnam’s move to destroy these luxury supercars is aimed to send strong message that the government is serious in its efforts against smuggling.
