Flagship ET9 arrived in December 2023 with the SkyRide Fully Active Suspension system, a standout feature which “delivers an experience comparable to cruising in a business jet”, according the Chinese brand.
To demonstrate the new class-leading Suspension System at the time of reveal, NIO loaded the bonnet of the ET9 with champagne glasses before taking it on a cruise across a road filled with rubber speed bumps.

Despite the being subjected to a run across several speed bumps, not a single champagne glass on the ET9 tumbled over. In the demonstration video shared, the ET9 executive sedan was seen gliding smoothly over a row of speed bumps.
NIO’s Full Active Suspension, together with the rear-wheel steering and steer-by-wire system, are part of the Sky Ride Intelligent Chassis which offers drivers and passengers a smooth and comfortable ride even when the ET9 navigates bumpy roads.
