Electric Range Rover Confirmed For 2026 Launch
A fully electric Range Rover has been in testing for several years, and the car has even been fully unveiled. The unveiling is just a little while away.
Say what you will about the electric Range Rover, but don’t rush it to market. We caught a glimpse of it at the end of 2023, and the British unveiled the full car at the end of last year, but the market launch is still nowhere near. Although we were expecting a debut this year at the time, it’s not going to happen. It has now been discovered on the Range Rover website that the electric vehicle is now scheduled for 2026.
“Express your interest in the Range Rover Electric. You’ll then be added to the waiting list and be among the first to place an order in 2026,” we read. This seems to have pushed back the launch date slightly. 2026 is still a broad term, so it might be more than a year before it’s available. We recently heard a bit more about the electric Range Rover: it has a battery pack consisting of 344 prismatic cells with a capacity of 117 kWh. It also features 800V technology.
Jaguar Land Rover hinted that it is waiting for the “right time” to launch the Range Rover Electric: “Our plans and vehicle architectures are flexible, allowing us to adapt to different market and customer needs. We are committed to the highest standards of design, capability, and quality, and we will launch our new models at the right time for our customers, our business, and individual markets.”
