Today’s Photos : China deploys AI-powered traffic robots that directs traffic, checks violations.

A 6-feet tall, humanoid traffic control robot called “Wuyou Smart Police R001” has been deployed at the intersection of Zhongjiang Avenue and Chizhushan Road in Wuhu.

Dressed in a traffic police auxiliary uniform, the AI-powered robot operates alongside officers, directing pedestrians and vehicles at intersections.

Designed to handle routine monitoring during peak times, the AI-powered robot can identify certain violations and issue voice reminders such as “Safety is the shortest way home.”

As expected, the skills of these AI-powered traffic control robots has drawn attention from passers-by, with some posing with them to take photos.
