Ferrari Deliveries Once Again Halted By Iran War
Deliveries from sports car manufacturer Ferrari were disrupted in the first quarter by the Iran war. Normally, Ferraris sell well around the Persian Gulf, but the war prevents this. Ferrari says it was able to mitigate these difficulties by sending more cars to other regions.
Total deliveries, at 3,436 cars, were a good 4 percent lower than in the same period last year. 14 percent fewer Ferraris went to the region comprising Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. Deliveries to North and South America rose slightly, while volume to the China region increased significantly.
The company from Maranello also did good business selling more expensive models, including the F80. That explains why Ferrari’s revenue increased by 3 percent to 1.8 billion euros. At 413 million euros, the profit was slightly higher than a year ago.
