BYD’s Denza Z9GT Priced At $134K In Europe Vs $59K In China, Can Recharge From 10-70% In 5 Minutes
Denza Z9GT from BYD’s premium brand cost $134K in Europe versus $59K in China, can recharge from 10-70% in 5 minutes
Asking price for the Denza Z9GT in the European market reportedly driven by luxury market positioning, tariffs, and taxes.
Designed to compete with Porsche Taycan Cross Turismo, Z9GT is available in full EV and plug-in hybrid (PHEV) versions.
All-electric variant uses BYD’s 122kWh Blade Battery 2.0 with a claimed range of 497 miles in the rear-wheel-drive edition.

Denza, the premium brand under BYD, the world’s leading manufacturer of new-energy vehicles (NEVs), recently unveiled its flagship Z9 GT Shooting Brake into the European market at the Palais Garner opera house in Paris.
Designed to compete with high-end luxury models like the Porsche Taycan Cross Turismo, the Z9GT is now available for ordering on Denza’s official websites across seven European countries, including France, Germany, Italy, and Spain.

The Z9GT is priced between €101,000 and €115,000 ($110,000 – $134,500) in the European market, which is significantly higher compared to approximately 339,800 – 419,800 yuan ($47,600 – $58,850) in China.

The asking price for the Denza Z9GT in the European market is more than double its Chinese variant, with the price reportedly driven by luxury market positioning, tariffs, and taxes.
The Z9GT is available in full EV and plug-in hybrid (PHEV) versions. All-electric variant uses BYD’s 122kWh Blade Battery 2.0 with a claimed range of 497 miles in the rear-wheel-drive edition.

Thanks to BYD’s radical Flash Charging technology, the battery-pack can charge from 10 to 70 per cent in just five minutes, from 10 to 97 per cent in only nine minutes and from 20 to 97 per cent in 12 minutes.
According to BYD – which recently dethroned Tesla as the world’s biggest EV manufacturer, 300 of the planned 600 1500kW chargers will be installed in the UK over the next 12 months, as part of the 6,000 new locations globally.
