BYD Rapidly Install 5,000 Flash Charging Stations In 1 Month, Charges As Fast As Refueling Petrol Car
BYD rapidly install 5,000 Flash Charging Stations in 1 month, charges as fast as refueling petrol car.
It can recharge from 10 percent to 70 percent in just 5 minutes, from 10 percent to 97 percent in only 9 minutes.
Even in extreme low temperatures such as -30°C, BYD’s Flash Charging tech can charge from 20 to 97 percent in 12 minutes.
BYD’s Flash Charging Technology designed to address slow charging speeds, poor low-temperature charging performance.

BYD has rapidly installed its 5,000th Flash Charging Stations in 297 cities across China, less than a month after announcing plans to construct 20,000 of these fast-charging Stations across the country by the end of 2026.
BYD’s new fast-chargers typically recharges the battery-pack of EVs as quick as refueling a petrol car – going from as low as 10 percent to 70 percent in just 5 minutes and from 10 percent to 97 percent in only nine minutes.
Even in extreme low temperatures such as -30°C, BYD said its radical Flash Charging technology can charge its new 122kWh Blade Battery 2.0 – with a class-leading range of 1,036 km (644 miles) – from 20 to 97 percent in 12 minutes.

It comes less than a month after BYD unveiled its 2nd Generation Blade Battery (Blade Battery 2.0) and the Flash Charging Technology to address slow charging speeds and poor low-temperature charging performance.
Through six years of intensive research and development, the Blade Battery 2.0 powering its flagship Denza Z9GT sports car delivers a charging experience it said matches the speed of refueling.
“By the end of 2026, BYD plans to construct 20,000 FLASH Charging Stations in China and rollout globally at scale. Once built, these stations will be open to the entire public, aiming to accelerate the electrification of transportation and build a greener future.”
