Chinese Company Xaiomi Confirms That 100,000 Units Of SU7 Electric Car Has Produced
Chinese company Xiaomi has confirmed that 100,000 units of the SU7 electric car have rolled off the production line at its factory in Beijing. This milestone was reached 230 days after the SU7 was officially launched in March, marking a significant achievement for a newcomer in the automotive industry.
The SU7 is Xiaomi’s first electric car, and its direct competitor is the Tesla Model 3. It is available in three versions, Standard, Pro and Max, while its basic price in China is 26,900 euros. This means that it is more affordable than its American rival.
In October, Xiaomi also presented the SU7 Ultra, a high-performance version that costs 101,800 euros.
The company’s first goal was to reach 100,000 cumulative deliveries of the SU7 series by the end of this year, but it later changed its plan and said it would happen this month. The new goal is for Xiaomi to meet the end of the year with 120,000 vehicles delivered.
This confidence is justified as the SU7 is selling brilliantly. Precise monthly figures have not been released, but the number of cars delivered rose from 10,000 for the July-September period to more than 20,000 in October.
The SU7 is manufactured at Xiaomi’s facility in Beijing. The factory can produce 150,000 cars per year in the first phase, and its second phase is under construction. The factory reached an impressive 160 percent of production capacity in October. To reduce the pressure of orders, Xiaomi has increased its monthly production to 24,000 cars and reached almost 200 percent of the production capacity.
With its ambitious production plans and growing range of electric cars, Xiaomi is becoming a competitor to already well-known manufacturers and is continuously contributing to the accelerated adoption of electric vehicles around the world. The success of the SU7 is a significant achievement for Xiaomi and highlights the growing importance of Chinese manufacturers in the world of electric cars.
