First Look : 2021 Genesis GV70 SUV (Photos)

Hyundai’s luxury brand, Genesis has revealed first photos of the all-new 2021 GV70 compact luxury SUV.

The GV70, the premium brand’s fifth model and its second SUV, will slot under the bigger mid-size GV80.

It will rival compact luxury SUVs such as the BMW X3, Audi Q5, Acura RDX and Mercedes-Benz GLC-Class.

Hyundai’s luxury brand, Genesis on Wednesday revealed first photos of the all-new 2021 GV70 compact luxury SUV that is set to arrive at the dealership next year.

The GV70 is the premium brand’s fifth model as well as its second SUV. It will slot under the bigger mid-size GV80, which is just reaching showrooms after delays caused by coronavirus.

Genesis said the GV70, which was inspired by the design philosophy of ‘Athletic Elegance’, will be available in regular model as well as the GV70 Sport model.

On the outside, the new crossover SUV features a sporty and powerful appearance, taking design cues from the GV80 and G80 with its massive five-sided crest grille and four thin LED headlights and taillights.

Inside, it has a large 14.5-inch touchscreen that sits atop the dash, a 12.3-inch all-digital instrument cluster, as well as thin air vents, which are partly hidden in the entire cabin.

Genesis hasn’t reveal the SUVs powertrain. But it will likely be offered with the GV80’s turbocharged, 2.5-liter four-cylinder and twin-turbo, 3.5-liter V6 engine.

The South Korean premium brand is yet to reveal the pricing for the all-new 2021 GV70 compact luxury SUV.

When Genesis GV70 arrives at the showroom in 2021, it will rival compact luxury SUVs such as the BMW X3; Audi Q5; Acura RDX and the Mercedes-Benz GLC-Class.
