Of the affected fourth-generation Range Rover SUVs, 16,759 examples are in the United States, according to NHTSA.
Problem stems from the front suspension upper knuckle joint, which may crack and cause the suspension arm to detach.
Owners of the affected SUVs will be notified by Jan. 3rd 2025 to take their vehicles to a JLR service center.
At the JLR service center, the left and right front suspension knuckles of the affected SUVs will be inspected for cracks.
British luxury marque, JLR (formerly known as Jaguar Land Rover) has recalled thousands of fourth-generation Range Rover SUVs due to a problem with the front suspension that could easily lead to loss of vehicle control.
The problem stems from the front suspension upper knuckle joint on the affected 2014-2016 model years, which may crack and cause the suspension arm to detach – which could lead to a loss of vehicle control.
Of the affected fourth-generation Range Rover SUVs, 16,759 examples are in the United States, according to the recall notice published by the NHTSA on November 7th 2024.
The company said owners of the affected SUVs will be notified by Jan. 3rd 2025 to take their vehicles to a JLR service center, where the left and right front suspension knuckles will be inspected for cracks and if found, replaced.
