Volkswagen-owned Lamborghini sold a record 2,422 high performance sports cars from January to March (First Quarter) of 2021.

The 641-horsepower SUV, which starts at $210,000, continues to be the marque’s best-selling model.

Lamborghini has announced it delivered a total of 2,422 sports cars in the first three months of 2021. This record sales marks its best results since the Italian automaker was founded by Ferruccio Lamborghini back in 1963.





Volkswagen-owned Lamborghini’s 2021 Q1 sales were more than 25% and 22% greater than the same period in 2020 and 2019 respectively.

The United States (US), Germany and China remained Lamborghini’s largest market in the first quarter of 2021.

Reacting to the positive growth, president and CEO of Lamborghini and Bugatti Stephan Winkelmann said in a statement that :

“We have a very positive outlook ahead for this year, thanks to an order bank that has grown by 25 percent compared to the first quarter of 2020 and already covers nine months of production,”

“We are ready to pursue the new objectives we have set and to respond concretely, with significant innovations, to the moment of extensive transformation that is affecting the automotive industry as a whole.”

With a total of 1,382 Urus snapped up from January to March, the powerful 641-horsepower SUV, which starts at $210,000, continues to be the marque’s best-selling model.





Lamborghini sold 287 units of its most expensive and powerful model, the V-12 Aventador, while 753 units of the V-10 Huracan were delivered to customers.

Recall that Lamborghini recorded its second-best year ever in 2020 by selling a total of 7,430 vehicles. Last year, Lamborghini also achieved its highest profitability rate ever, generating a record turnover of Euro 1.61 billion.
